Owner/Therapist
Welcome! I would like to start working with you as you start this process. I am sure that you would like to hear more about me...
I graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2011 with my Master's in Counseling. I moved to Chicago where I practiced for 9 years. I worked in community mental health and private practice. I moved to Indianapolis in 2020 and decided to start my own practice here. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship issues. My speciality is working with women who are navigating attempting to get pregnant, pregnancy, and postpartum. I have specialized training in perinatal mental health.
My journey in this field is driven by a deep understanding of the unique emotional and psychological challenges that accompany these experiences.
Infertility can be an incredibly isolating and distressing experience, and it often brings up a range of emotions from grief and frustration to anxiety and despair. I work with individuals and couples to navigate these complex feelings, helping them to find coping strategies, strengthen their resilience, and explore their options in a supportive environment.
Similarly, perinatal mood disorders, including postpartum depression and anxiety, can significantly impact a new parent’s well-being and their ability to bond with their baby. My approach is rooted in compassion and evidence-based practices, offering a safe space to address these challenges, understand the underlying issues, and work towards recovery.
Together, we’ll explore your unique experiences and develop personalized strategies to support your mental health. My goal is to provide empathetic guidance and practical tools that empower you to manage stress, enhance emotional well-being, and find hope during these transformative periods of your life.
I also enjoy working with people who are dating and/or having trouble in relationships.
I believe in the importance of collaboration and look forward to work closely with those that I am meeting. I also think it is very important for you to understand your strengths and work with them instead of against them. I think we often underestimate our own abilities. I come from a place of understanding and empathy in appointments, but I also enjoy challenging you. Lastly, I like to incorporate skills building, such as mindfulness, to support change, so you may be doing some activities outside of our appointments. I like to discover what you need in the therapeutic relationship and work to give that to you during each session.
